One Of A Kind Onesies!

It's a little overdue, but I have been meaning to post about this!!

One of the activities at my baby shower was to decorate a onesie with fabric markers. Of course I loved them ALL and they are each SO special because they were handmade at my shower by friends and family! Here are some of my favorites, and the 3 I picked to win a prize:

This one was decorated by Eric's cousin Jordyn (who was also our flower girl in our wedding). It is definitely one of my very favorites, and I can't wait to put Darby in it! I know Darby is going to grow up looking up to Jordyn as an older cousin. They are going to have so much fun together!

Here are two of my other favorites! Decorated by my friends Jenny (left one) and Rachelle (right one). Rachelle is expecting a baby - Jackson - in August, hence the Darby + Jackson holding hands with a heart over them. Too cute!

The following 3 each won a prize for winning me over with cuteness. The first one was done by my old coworker and fellow unemployed friend (hopefully not for too much longer!), Luana. All it needs are a few glittery crystals to accent the crown she drew!!

This cute little sweet pea onesie was made by my brother in law's girlfriend, Amanda. I just love how she drew cute little pea's in a pod!

Finally, this one was decorated by my friend Yvonne, who just happens to be a children's clothing designer! Go figure!

All the onesies were decorated and displayed, I had no idea who made what when I went through to choose. It was so difficult to pick, I really loved each one and Darby is going to look so cute wearing them!

We are so excited to be working on my 35th week! Woo hoo! I have a DR's appointment on Wednesday, and we have our all day childbirth crash course on Saturday. It is all becoming so real! I am still feeling pretty good, like I said in my last post (I think I did atleast!) I just get horrible heartburn and tired easily. But for the most part, still have fairly good energy, enough for nightly walks with Eric and Billie (our dog)!

Lately on our walks we have done a lot of talking about Darby's middle name! It is still up in the air, but we do have 2 choices we both completely agree on. But who knows, we could stumble accross a new middle name we just both love at any time! Of course that will be a secret until she is here.. I know once we see her, we will just know!

Speaking of Darby, she is moving around soo much right now! She likes to stretch (I think its a stretch, obviously I can't see, so I'm not positive) and hit my bladder. It is the weirdest feeling. It's almost like being on a roller coaster while you have to go to the bathroom really badly. I love everything about her already, even if she is a stinker and hits my bladder multiple times during the day. Use your imagination and I'm sure you can figure out what happens to me when she hits my bladder. Lovely! :-)

Getting Ready for Darby!

I figured it was about time to share some updated pictures of the nursery! I've been busy putting the finishing touches on it. There are still a few things I need to do - I want to find a corner wall shelf to go behind the crib and some black and white pictures - I'm thinking I will use ones of Darby when she is first born - for 3 shabby chic white frames I have for the wall.

I've fixed the curtains with tie backs -

.. and the changing pad/cover are ready with the wipe warmer (no wipes in it yet!) and today I hung the shelf . The 3 shabby chic white frames will hang on this wall too.

My friends Andie and Mandie (they're twins!) from college sent this cute "Bless This Baby" wall hanging that just matches the room perfectly!

Darby's crib is all set to go with her cute mobile (from my one in a million friend Angela and her hubby Josh) and some cute dolls/stuffed animals from friends and family!

Here is the bouncer I put together and is all ready and waiting for Darby! (From our friends Rachelle and Mark, who are expecting a cute little boy - Jackson James - in August!!)

Here is the Sweet Peace Infant Soothing Center - aka the swing!! (from Eric's Nanna, Aunt Sherri and cousin Jordyn) It is SO cool, we can't wait to get Darby home so she can swing, we know she is going to LOVE it!

Here are the outfits I got, one of which Darby will wear home from the hospital! The one on the left is a newborn size, and the other is 0-3 months. I have heard that a lot of times depending on the baby's size, the newborn sizes can either be too big, or not big enough. I'll just be prepared either way! It's hard to see but there is also a cute pair of frilly socks and a bonnet!

I think I say this every time I post, but I just can't believe we are already working on my 34th week!! I am still feeling pretty good, just tired and have been getting bad heartburn. Sleeping isn't easy, but really since I'm not working I can't complain because I can rest whenever I need to during the day!

The other night (and last night too) Darby has had the hiccups! It's so funny to watch her bouncing in there with the hiccups. I would think it would be horribly uncomfortable for her, but I guess it's not! Eric was feeling her hiccup on Friday night and said to me "Aww, I want her out already so I can HOLD her!" It was so cute.

We don't have much longer to wait!!

Updated Baby Belly!

I am so excited to be 32 weeks and 4 days today! I can't believe how time is flying. Here is an updated belly shot:
I actually don't think I've grown much in the last 3 weeks. My shirt is tighter, but I really don't think my belly looks that much bigger. Maybe a bit more round and a little lower? What do you think?
I also wanted to thank my Mom and my Sister for hosting my baby shower on the 10th! It was absolutely perfect, and thanks to everyone who was able to come! We've been having so much fun putting things together and organizing all the goodies. I will post some updated pictures of the nursery soon!

Our Chubby Cheeked Darby!

Last Friday (May 9th) we had a 4D ultrasound done! It is amazing that you are able to see so much detail on our little Darby while she is still in my tummy baking! She was SOUND asleep when we first started, with her hands on her face! It wasn't easy to get super clear pictures, but we are really happy with how they turned out. The ultrasound tech had me drink some water and lay on my left side for 4 min, which got her moving a little, not a lot though. I am sure you'll agree, she is just too cute!

Darby is really running out of room in there. We have the DVD video of the session. Her feet were in her face and on her head! She is upside down and ready to go! Just a few more weeks...

A Growing Baby Belly Update!

Just wanted to post this new pic of my growing baby belly. I feel more like a beached whale, but like I always say, feeling her move around in there is AMAZING! So I guess you could say I don't mind feeling like a whale, knowing there is a Darby in there!!

Sisters.

Irreplaceable. That is the best word I can use to describe my sister. Even though we had our fair share of fights and disagreements, oh and she was REALLY bossy (and she admits she was!), there wasn't much that could come between my sister and I. Growing up, she was the ultimate friend who I looked up to. When she took up piano, I wanted to too. I used to get so frustrated when we'd color together because she could always do so much better than I could. I never understood that she was 5 years older then me. We could play for hours on end.

We were rarely a nuisance to each other. I put up with the bossiness because I loved her so much and just wanted to be with her. She put up with an annoying little sister for the same reason.

Time made us grow up, and we have both found true love in our husbands. Life has us living so far apart, but we are just as close as we were in our childhood days, and even closer. I don't think there is anything that can change our relationship.

I really hope one day we are able to give Darby a sister so she is able to have what I do. Sisters are SO special and the relationship can NOT be justified by words.

It can only be FELT and treasured.
